On Saturday 14th April 2012 we held our first charity ball.  Held at the Sacred Heart Parish Hall in Oakleigh, over 120 supporters enjoyed a buffet dinner of Sri Lankan and western goodies and a night of dancing to the sounds of IN2Groove.  Special guest, Gary Pinto (CDB, solo musician, song writer and vocal coach for X Factor) joined the band for a set of old school soul.

Of course, no fundraiser is complete without a door prize and a raffle – prizes were very generously donated by Modica Travel ($500 voucher door prize), Natures Organics (huge hamper), Ryan Patternot from Embassy Print Solutions (contributed towards the cost of the band), Venetia Hendricks (huge grocery hamper), Marianne Misso and our ever supportive sponsors at Westwell electronics and the Pancake Parlour.

Overall the night raised $3880 to provide start-up funds to women in India and Sri Lanka for sewing group business!!
