Trivia night 2010
Our inaugural fundraising event attracted ten teams of eight to our charity trivia night held on Saturday 4th September 2010 at the Clayton RSL. Our friend Simon French played the role of trivia master and supporters enjoyed eight rounds of trivia incorporating entertainment, science, general knowledge, food and a memory test about information on the beneficiaries for the night – Impoverished Children and the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Half-time hot snacks were served and there were gold-coin-entry side games and a raffle to be won.
Prizes were generously donated by Narre Warren Officeworks, Westwell electronics and The Pancake Parlour.
Overall the night raised $1575!! Half of these funds contributed to the set-up of another class of 25 children at Impoverished Children’s Shine Academy and the other half contributed to a DSWT Community Outreach Project to educate school children and communities that border Kenya’s national parks about wildlife conservation.
