Partnership with Fundación Checo Pérez, Mexico
We are very excited to be working with Fundación Checo Pérez to extend our support to humanitarian efforts in Mexico.
Fundación Checo Pérez (FCP) was established in 2013 by Formula 1 driver Sergio Perez to support vulnerable children in Mexico where poverty and marginalization are everyday conditions for many.
Through various human development and psychological support projects, FCP works towards improving the living conditions and providing the best environment for children to thrive within their community and develop their full potential. These include: building projects to create ideal spaces for children to develop and instill a sense of belonging; a Multisensory Stimulation Center for children with disabilities; and projects which nurture artistic and intellectual talent. By providing capacity building workshops, FCP are also ensuring the development of future leaders and change agents in social welfare.
We visited one of these projects in October 2016, an orphanage called Casa Hogar El Oasis de la Niñez. You can read about our visit and volunteer activities in Katie’s trip report.
