Jane Goodall visits Melbourne
Last week Jane Goodall presented a series of lectures in Australia to celebrate her 80th Year and continue to spread her humanitarian and environmental messages.
The lecture was a unique journey through the life and career of one of the world’s most renowned and iconic individuals, Dr Jane Goodall DBE, British primatologist, ethologist, anthropologist and United Nations Messenger of Peace, considered to be the world’s foremost expert on chimpanzees, conservation and animal welfare issues. She is the founder of the worldwide organisation, the Jane Goodall Institute and the Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots Program.
Proceeds from the Sydney and Melbourne events were directed to the Jane Goodall Institute Australia, with proceeds from the Queensland show directed to the Jane Goodall Institute Australia and the Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors Charity.
Marie was very privileged to meet Dr Goodall after the Melbourne lecture where she signed her books (while accepting a Msafiri In Action business card!) and wrote a special message to Marie.
